AVA supplies vertical and horizontal mixers that can be operated either in batches or continuously.
AVA mixers are used for homogenizing solids or solids and liquids. Depending on the task, up to 20 different individual components must be mixed together. The AVA agitator is consistently designed so that the entire product chamber is subject to the mixing process, thus enabling cavity-free homogenizing. Depending on the design of the mixing elements or the mixer speed, gentle to high turbulence agitation can take place. For solid mixtures or solid-liquid mixtures, the achieved mix qualities are in the range of ±1% with regard to the added component, depending on the product characteristics.
Homogenizing refers to the merging of various production flows or delivery batches of the same product. Most applications involve processing large amounts, with the aim of homogenizing production process variations or natural variations in the added raw materials. AVA offers large-volume mixers (80 m³ to date) for this purpose. These machines enable both continuous and batch homogenizing of large product streams.
There are numerous applications that aim at transforming powdery, dusty bulk materials into a dust-free form by means of adding liquids. The bulk materials are intensively mixed with the liquid component in the AVA mixer and can then be fed to open loading and transport systems as dust-free bulk material. AVA HTK continuous mixers are particularly well suited to this application. They offer very short retention times on compact machines. Throughputs of more than 1000 m³/h have been achieved with existing installations.
